I am an early childhood and elementary educator with a background in environmental science curriculum design. I have an inclusive and child-centered teaching style; focused on social/emotional education and the development of creative critical thinking skills. Many of my lessons are STEM/STEAM centered, designed in accordance with the Pennsylvania ECE standards and the appropriate developmental milestones. I provide students with a safe learning environment where they feel comfortable growing and being themselves. Many of my materials are self-corrective or sensory based; building confidence and fine motor skills. Adaptable and comfortable in a wide range of environments, I have instructed in a variety of settings: Waldorf/Montessori-style centers, public libraries, international community centers, STARS/NAYCE certified centers as well as Pre-K counts funded classrooms. I also have experience instructing students with both behavioral and/or developmental IEPs. I am a skilled collaborator; working with therapists/specialists and families to best support the individual needs of the child.It is my goal to instill a love of learning in students and support them in building a strong social and emotional foundation.
