Lead architect for deployment, migrations and integrations of secure cloud based desktop and infrastructure services that allows 3,000 DevOps engineers to work from anywhere (Total Contract Value (TCV) of £4.5m). I successfully delivered the following services:• Discovery and capture of user’s business requirements across multiple engineering disciplines; • Development of end user migration plan and management of migration team; • Implementation of operational support services (application assessment, packaging and delivery, incident, problem and asset management); • Implementation of technical integrations, remote access and identity management, asset and software integrations for operational support (Zscaler, Okta, ServiceNow);• Developed and presented roadshows to promote the solution to senior management and DevOps community;• Led workshops for the development of product roadmaps (collaboration, devices, IAM...).

The project involved leading a multi-functional team of over 30 architects and developers, governing the design, test and implementation.As lead architect I successfully led the desktop transformation of two government departments desktop solutions includeing the migration of business applications, TCV of £29M. The solution scope covered the design and implementation of:• End user devices; 6,000+ laptops (MacOS and Windows) and smartphones, including new management solutions (Jamf Pro, SCCM and Airwatch);• Migration of user productivity tools and unified communications (O365, SharePoint, Jabber and Skype for Business);• Migrating end user devices from corporate network to Internet facing connectivity model, secured through SaaS Cloud security (Zscaler) and security audit and monitoring (Skyhigh);• Identity and access management using Okta and Azure;• Established Cloud hosting instances for new management services and on-premise application migration to AWS and Azure;• Line of business application discovery and establishing process for migration of applications from on-premise to the cloud;• Hybrid email solution and migration to O365;• New target operating model and new ITSM tooling (ServiceNow) and established internal dev-ops service management function;• Data migration of on-premise email, EDRMs and fileshare systems to O365.

Responsible for identifying and assessing new infrastructure and security solutions for the largest public sector organisation in the UK (92,000 staff). Key achievements:• Successfully led a multi-functional team; comprised of internal SME and suppliers, to identify and remediate causes of poor desktop performance. This involved detailed analysis of the end-to-end solution (end user devices (thick and thin), networking and security components). I recommended 17 key changes to senior management all of which were accepted for implementation. • Implementation of new enterprise hosting solution based on hyper-converged technology; as a prerequisite to a data centre migration;• Currently developing a new management solution for software developers using MacBooks, this will also introduce cloud-based security for mobile users for Internet and remote access; based on Zscaler cloud security solution; • Establishing a pilot for the next generation of VDI/published desktop infrastructure; based on Citrix;• Providing consultancy on integrations into DWP SaaS ITSM solution (servicenow.com).

Responsible for the successful development and implementation of cloud-based ITIL ITSM toolset using ServiceNow.com. This 18 month project was rolled out on-time and on budget to 92,000 end users and 16+ suppliers on-boarded with a Total Contract Value (TCV) £9.5 million.• Led technical assessment of vendor capability against requirements and recommended selected supplier• Developed the overall solution blueprint and roadmap; • Ensured that all integrations (infrastructure, process and capability) were to industry standard and developed associated plans and costings;• Defined the tooling service obligations for new supplier contracts;• Developed the data model and data migration strategy;• Ensured that the deployment met with the Government security requirements for handling official sensitive data.

Architecture lead for transition and transformation of Brookfield’s IT systems to Fujitsu Services North America. As lead transformation architect I was responsible for overall architecture, migration strategy and governance. I managed a distributed architecture and engineer team in Australia, UK and NA. Cutover to Fujitsu services was delivered successfully and on-time. As a result of the success of this transformation I was promoted to account CTO

Successfully led architecture solution development and costing for a multi-national company, winning a deal with TCV over £20 million.

Defining global desktop virtualisation strategy and development plans for End User Services

Responsible for defining strategy and development of Fujitsu Desktop Virtualisation offering (VCS).
