About Emmet Karner
I am currently a Biochemistry student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Summer InternSpent the summer as a part of Pfizer's student worker program for the investigative toxicology department of Drug Safety Research and Development. During this time I worked on developing a 3D skin model for use in characterizing cytotoxicity in pharmacotoxicological studies. I was exposed to and used many standard lab protocols such as cell culture, immunohistochemistry, tissue processing embedding and sectioning, and RT-PCR.
