CurrentPerform daily system monitoring procedures, verifying the integrity, functionality and availability of system hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, routinely reviewing system and application logs for indications of possible concernApply OS patches and upgrades when required, upgrade administrative tools and utilities, adding new services as necessary in compliance with AFNET (Air Force Network) and DoD (Department of Defense) guidelines and standards.Verify completion of scheduled daily backup operations, ensure all required file systems and system data is successfully backed up to a media recovery hard drive when necessary, is updated, and maintained in case of system failure.Troubleshoot, repair and/or execute recovery from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with key or impacted personnel to provide status updatesUpgrade and configure system software that supports LOGNET infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications per project and operational necessity, e.g., TCMAX (Tool Control) Enhanced Technical Management System (ETIMS) and IETM (Interactive Electronic Technical Manual) access.Create, maintain, update and configure computer system Images on eTOOLS (electronic tools) used by AMC (Air Mobility Command) maintenance personnel to perform aircraft repairs.Provided Server administration on File servers utilized across the NIPR/Network for Joint Base MDL until the transfer of these services were made to the local Communication Squadron.
