Being a writer is something I have aspired to be for a long time. After completing my English and Creative Writing degree at the University of Iowa, I thought I would fall into the kind of writing job I always wanted. Finding a writing job and hoping I'd find a writing job have been two very different battles. While I currently have not been published, I have spent the last three years writing a memoir about my childhood. Since finishing it, I have discovered a need to finally take steps toward writing as a career instead of writing for therapy. I am still just beginning my journey as a professional writer, but I have spent years practicing my craft. I hope to gain experience in my field and begin a full-time writing career in the near future.
