Children's Zoo

As an Education Interpreter, I assisted in the design and delivery of informal educational opportunities for visitors that convey the Saint Louis Zoo’s animal and conservation messages. We used available props, animal artifacts/biofacts, and costumes in combination with interpretive training. We also participated in visitor/animal interactions at the Stingrays at Caribbean Cove exhibit, including proper demonstration of touching and feeding, and help out at other zoo events.

My responsibilities included: animal husbandry, cleaning, diet prep, medication administration, enrichment, answering phones, and educating public and volunteers
