For the last 10 years (and still going), I've been on a mission to build things that have a meaningful & enduring impact on people's lives.In highschool, I taught #graphicdesign and #illustrator to students and teachers at the Hawai'i STEM Conference. I still remember how rewarding it felt to see over a thousand people wearing a t-shirt that I designed.While I was at Menlo College, I founded the Oaks Innovation Club and Startup Weekend Silicon Valley WOMXN, and taught the Entrepreneurship Capstone Course for 2 semesters. I was able to help hundreds of students and #BayArea professionals take the first steps in #entrepreneurship, and many even launched their #startups for the first time. During the 4 years in college, when combining all the initiatives that I led (including TEDxMenloCollege), my teams raised over $100,000 in monetary & in-kind funds. Even though I've been out of school for over 2 years now, most of these initiatives are still going strong because of the #foundation that I built.Even after college, I never stopped building. I built an online running #community from scratch (instagram.com/evolvetc), and it has been able to #reach and #engage with over 200,000 #instagram accounts in the last 3 months alone. My friend Brenda and I also founded Diverge Studio, and taught #designthinking to over a hundred students in the US and Japan (BizWorld Japan, San Mateo County Community College District).I recently took the natural next step, and founded Cheve (cheve.co), a brand #strategy & media agency, with the focus of helping brands and businesses build meaningful and enduring relationships with their communities. I recruited Noble and Esteban, two of the most talented #creatives and #strategists I know. One of our recent projects was JobTrain's Breakfast of Champions event, and the #brand, #motion, and #prints that we designed/produced helped the event reach its #fundraising goal of $400,000. We're also in the midst of refreshing theuncuffedproject.org 's brand and strengthening its #digitalbrand.It's been a long journey but I feel like I'm just getting started.
