About Emon Khan

I am consultant rheumatologist currently working in the NHS in London. I graduated with a BMedSci and MBChB from the University of Birmingham in July 2000. Since then, I have done extensive training in my chose specialty, having accrued MRCP in 2005 and completed my clinical training in New Zealand with FRACP in 2011, in both rheumatology and general medicine.I completed my PhD from Imperial College in 2015 and this was in the the study of microparticles as potential biomarker for thrombotic risk in a condition called Behcet's syndrome. This gave me an insight vascular disease as an inflammatory disorder and has led to an increasing interest in translational research. I am especially intersted in phase I research and drug development.
