I am an Australian-born Chinese (Cantonese) with a Master of Interpreting and Translation in Japanese. My passion for languages comes from my multicultural upbring and is the reason for pursuing a career as a translator and interpreter.My official titles are International Partner Liaison and Freelance Translator, but on the job, I take on the role as interpreter, employee trainer, product manager, and secretary to the CEO. As a translator, I specialise in the IT, business, legal and localisation fields.Living between Australia and Japan in the past 8 years has given me the experience of starting anew and settling down in an unknown place. Even with the advantage of knowing the local language I still felt the language barrier. Breaking down this barrier, or even making it just that slightly more transparent is at the core of my motivation and passion as a translator.
