I am an Assistant Professor of Personality and Individual Differences at the University of California, Davis.I completed my PhD in Social and Personality Psychology at Washington University in St. Louis in 2020 and my received my BA with Honors in Psychology from Brown University in 2016. I completed postdoctoral training at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in the Department of Medical Social Sciences from 2020-2022.My research focuses on personality structure, change, and prediction at both population and individual levels. In other words, I ask what is personality and how does this definition differ when you're considering a single person versus a population of people. Given these different definitions, I then ask how personality changes over time. In this work, I ask how consistent is an individual's personality over the course of months, years, and major life and global events? I also ask how much people differ in change over different time spans and contexts. Finally, I address what personality predicts, using methods like machine learning to predict momentary behaviors and experiences for a single person as well as long-term outcomes and events for individuals in multi-national samples.
