This job requires providing supervision and care to an adolescent boy with an autism diagnosis. I not only assist him, but this profession allows his mother to have respite time. Some responsibilities and tasks I am given are: constant supervision, assisting with laundry and upkeep chores, outings in the community, administering medicines, meal prep, and hygiene and bathing assistance.

I was given the opportunity to continue working at Camp Pinnacle for their off-season in which they hold events like reunions and weddings weekly. I was hired to be a part of the kitchen crew with Chef Mimi. My responsibilities included food preparation, cleaning dishes and event spaces, setting up and breaking down dining stations at venues, and serving food. During my time in the kitchen, I have strengthened my abilities in cooking and baking, adaptability, time management, creative thinking, and communication.

I was a full-time summer camp counselor and I have experience working in-cabin and out of cabin. Most of my days, I am facilitating games and learning activities with cabins of all ages at the camp’s pickleball courts! As a camp counselor, I am a part of an amazing community that curates experiences for campers to flourish their personal and social growth by learning new skills, building team spirit, and instilling the “5 R’s” into every aspect of camp.

Starbucks barista position on-campus of Eckerd College, managed by Bon Appétit Management Company and Compass Group. My responsibilities include creating multiple kinds of beverages, drawing and writing on the cafe’s blackboards, working on the register POS system, cleaning, restocking, assisting with closing, serving foods and beverages, collaboratively managing mobile orders, creating and putting out samples and testers for customers, and helping with school food-catered events.

At this job, I worked as a intern, sales associate, stylist, content creator, and key holder at the boutique. This position required customer service, time management skills, sales experience, and an eye for fashion. As an intern, I assisted the owner of the boutique in making a trend forecast, merchandising retail, taking photos for social media and the boutique’s website, as well as curating a personalized music playlist for the shop.

I held many positions, as you can see, and each individual position taught me new things about customer service. This job made me learn how to take action, use my knowledge of my local community and the theatre to assist patrons, and overall adapt quickly to unique and stressful situations. I appreciate my experience here the most because I got to learn more about my local community, and of course movies.

As a Mathnasium Instructor, I provide math related assistance to children from kindergarten to eighth grade. Using my math and social skills, I can attend to each student's individual needs. This experience has taught me how to manage my time more efficiently and gain conflict-resolution skills. With the COVID pandemic, I had to adopt to online teaching to teach students who need to stay home which helped me learn more about technology and communication.
