MAM's Pathway for Young Adults Program is an extension of our current employment service program, however with each service tailored to the 16-24 age group. Our goal is to empower and educate youth as they become self-sufficient and have a better life in the future by providing them the tools for success. What we do:Offer one on one Job Coaching (Resume Writing, Job Searching Strategies, Interviewing Skills, Elevator Speech, Soft Skills and Dealing with Obstacles).Offer Vocational Training (CNA, Forklift Operator, Security Officers Training, Customer Service training and provide funding for various short term trainings based on the individual cases).Offer Employment Certification Program • Series of six session Job Readiness Workshop• At completion clients will receive a free a drug test and a free background check.• Clients will take Workkeys exam. The exam is facilitated by HCC.• At completion clients will get a Job Readiness Certificate from HCC• Offer basic one on one Computer Literacy lesson• Assist clients with resume writing, job applications, internet job search and email set up.• Offer Microsoft Word class once a month.• Offer basic Excel Classes twice a month on two Saturdays.• Provide access to clients for job search related office services such as fax, scan, print and making copies.Assist clients with Financial Support• Provide clothing vouchers for verified job interviews and new jobs.• Provide gas vouchers and bus passes for verified job interviews and new jobs.• Provide work boots assistance for new jobs.• Provide uniform (scrubs) vouchers.• Provide rent and utility payment assistance for qualified clients.• Refer clients to other Workforce Service ProvidersWe look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your goal!
