As a special education instructor at Richland School District 2, I am committed to customizing curriculum to address the distinct needs of each student using individualized and differentiated methodologies. I work with families, colleagues, and experts to develop and execute effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that promote student development. I employ many ways to assess progress, allowing me to tailor training to enable each learner to achieve their maximum potential. I possess master’s degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership from Columbia College (SC) and Concordia University, Nebraska, providing a robust intellectual foundation for my role. I am presently undertaking a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Curriculum & Instruction, concentrating on Special Education at Liberty University, where I am acquiring proficiency in instructional strategies, curriculum design, assessment, and leadership, as well as specialized training in inclusive practices and effective interventions. My dissertation research aims to enhance systemic reforms in special education. In addition to teaching, I plan and facilitate professional development courses to provide educators with practices that assist different learners. I contribute to fostering inclusivity through my children's book, Different is Okay. This article demonstrates my dedication to promoting understanding and acceptance in educational and communal environments. My objective is to provide inclusive learning environments, promote evidence-based methods, and catalyze significant change to facilitate success for both students and educators.
