The project starts from Gebze and the Motorway will pass through the İzmit Bay with the Suspension Bridge which is approximately 3 km in length. The Motorway will extend along Orhangazi and Gemlik and be connected to existing Bursa Ring road at Ovaakça interchange.The progressing motorway will re-start from Bursa – Karacabey Interchange of the existing Bursa Ring Road, pass through north of Susurluk and reach to Balıkesir. Afterwards, it will proceed to the south, through the west of Balıkesir and pass closer to Savaştepe, Soma and Kırkağaç districts. Later on, it will extend to the west, near Turgutlu and continue in parallel to İzmir-Uşak State Highway.Ultimately, it will be connected to Anadolu High School Interchange on İzmir Ring Road.The Project could be summarized by the Phases (I and II) and separated to 7 sections that are namely; Gebze-Orhangazi, Orhangazi-Bursa, Bursa-Susurluk, Susurluk-Balıkesir, Balıkesir-Kırkağaç, Kırkağaç-Manisa and Manisa-İzmir. Phase I: It contains Gebze - Orhangazi (Km: 0+000 - 49+076) and Orhangazi - İznik Southern Interchange (Km: 49+076 - 58+300) Phase II: It starts from the end of Phase I and lasts to the end of Motorway Project which will be consummated at İzmir (Km: 408+650) When the Project is completed, İzmit Bay Crossing Suspended Bridge will be the 4th longest suspended bridge of the world.
