During the university, in addition to the standard curriculum, I worked on different projects by myself in different areas including games, network, physics programming, database, etc.After college, I started working for a game company called Ceidot. We mostly developed online games. One of the significant projects we released was a Strategy MMO called Umaykut Efsanesi (Umaykut Legend). It became popular in Turkey at that time. I developed the server side of the project.While working there, I started my master’s program in Game Technologies at Middle East Technical University. I kept working on different aspects of game technologies that I was interested in such as; physics programming, artificial intelligence, graphics programming, computer animation etc. In 2011 Peak Games (later acquired by Zynga) was trying to enter the field of Strategy MMO games. They acquired Umaykut from Ceidot and I transferred there along with the project. At the beginning of 2012 I left Peak Games and started to release some games on Google Play. I still make a living from one of the games (Okey Online) I developed back then. In the summer of 2012, I received an offer to work under Project FATİH. This was a government project aimed at efficiently integrating computer technology into the education system. Students are given android tablets and these tablets have their own closed app market. Initially I was responsible for the acquisition of educational games for tablets but later on continued as the mobile team leader.In 2016 Ipek University in Turkey started to accept students to its Game Design department. I started to work as an instructor there. Next year the university closed due to some domestic problems and the department transferred to another university, but a year later the department closed completely.In the meantime I started my Ph.D. in Computer Engineering program. I am currently at the end of my Ph.D. and working on my thesis. It is about the usage of Artificial Intelligence in Strategy Games.
