In the clinical genetics laboratory, I took part in the research group that conducts studies on rare diseases as a team member at the department of molecular medicine and surgery. I designed 20 primer pairs to regions of interest in the genes that cause VACTERL, performed PCRs to amplify these regions, prepared sequencing reactions, and analyzed all the sequenced fragments by Sanger Sequencing.
