A higher education professional with specialties in gender and sexuality and anti-violence educator, with over 15 years experience doing research, providing therapy and educating people in diverse environments. With a specialty in violence prevention, I help organizations make a better environment for inclusion and thriving in the workplace. My extensive experience in anti-violence response and prevention allows me to address how the impacts of trauma show up in all aspects of our lives, and how we can begin to "turn down the heat" on conflict, polarizing rhetoric, and increased likelihoods of violence-- giving us all more dignity in the places we learn and work. While earning a PhD in Human Sexuality Studies, I researched the interactions between gender expression and sexual attraction, documenting the life histories of people whose sexual attraction and gender expression fall outside the norm.
