As an advisor to EmpowR Transformation I am a part of a Web of Change Makers who offer guidance, engage in reciprocal support, contribute consulting capacity, and provide program expertise for EmpowR’s intentional work in service to transformative justice movement building. As advisors, collaborators, facilitators, and practitioners, the web weaves relationship between mental and spiritual health with organizational and social change to co-create cultural conditions of belonging for collective liberation.

Responsible for sexual and gender-based violence prevention, response and advocacy the SHARE Advocates at Brown University are licensed social workers who provide confidential support to all students in response to experiences with sexual assault, sexual and/or gender-based harassment, domestic/dating violence, relational abuse and stalking. Reporting to the BWell Health Promotion Office as a part of Health Services, SHARE Advocates work with a staff of health education professionals as well as stakeholders across campus to take a comprehensive approach to violence prevention and response. As a part of the position, I co-facilitate a peer-education program, serve with a multidisciplinary team of providers, and manage the Sexual Assault Response Line.

I am the go-to person for all issues around gender and sexuality at SUNY Oneonta. I run co-curricular programming out of the center for students, oversee a vibrant student staff at the center, consult with faculty and staff on academic and institutional policy around gender and sexuality issues on campus, work with other campus constituencies for social justice aims and hope to help make campus a safer and more inclusive place for women and gender and sexual minorities (LGBTQA identities).

Conducted research which critically examines the history of concepts of sexual attraction in the modern West. Documented life histories of people who do not fit in the norms of sexual attraction and/or gender expression.

Provided individual and group therapy to Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay and Transgender clients on issues such as depression and anxiety, sexual and gender identity, sexual trauma and relationships.

As an intern in the Education Department, I provided social services to students enrolled in PPSP's Sexual Health Education program in a Middle School in Southwest Philadelphia. Saw students one-on-one to connect students with support and resources, and also provided in-depth sexuality education.I also engaged in a self-directed program evaluation of the sexuality curriculum offered by PPSP, culminating in a 25 page report of data analysis and recommendations.
