After Fixt was acquired by Assurant in August 2020, I continued leading all product initiatives for the Fixt platform. I worked closely with Assurant counterparts to lead a plan to begin integrating our platform within Assurant's existing product ecosystem. I also played a major role in business integration helping to ensure that Fixt was properly integrated into Assurant's tooling and processes.By the time I departed, we had completed a major integration milestone with a major wireless provider and our platform was supporting thousands of repairs per day in the provider's stores across the country.

While at Fixt, I wore many hats and held a few different titles. I joined as a full-stack engineer (and the first hire) responsible for helping to build out much of the early platform.In 2018, after the team had grown to around five developers, I began spending most of my time managing our Engineering team and leading our platform architecture. Because we did not have an official Product Manager at this time, I also doubled in this capacity for a period helping to develop and implement our Product vision and roadmap for the platform we had built consisting of three unique products. This included leading integration with several large clients - most notably U.S. Cellular.As the team continued to grow, we brought in additional engineering resources and I shifted to a product facing role. I continued working closely with my engineering counterparts and contributed my technical skills as needed, but my main focus shifted prioritizing our path forward from a product perspective and developing a plan to continue to scale the capabilities of our platform.As we approached M&A with Assurant, I led technical and product discussions and diligence from the Fixt side and worked closely with Assurant counterparts to demonstrate the Fixt platform capabilities and build a vision and plan for integration moving forward.
