This role required accurate map reading skills and for me to maintain an adequate fitness level to ride an average of about 20 miles per shift. I was responsible for providing excellent customer service and representing the company values. It also lead to development of my mechanical skills in terms of carrying out repairs and maintenance to my bicycle.

I was involved in numerous Fire Engineering Projects, my jobs included, but weren't limited to writing Fire Strategy reports in compliance with Building Regulations and simulating fires in buildings using CFD software such as Pyrosim. I worked along side more senior staff who were able to share their expertise with me and I also sat in on various meetings with Architects and Building Control both of which from I picked up a lot of knowledge from.

This job involved stock maintenance, glass collecting, keg changing and cleaning, as well as providing customer service to an excellent standard when required. Whilst working for Artisan I worked within a small team of bar backs and alongside bartenders, I developed an understanding for the necessity for efficient communication skills when working in a busy, fast-moving environment. For this job I had to complete several online course which educated me on various standards, laws and procedures which are relevant to the food and drink industry as well as broader subjects such as health and safety and fire prevention. I found these courses to also link with laboratory work at college and University, as similar safety measures are put in place.
