Eric Walton joined Westwind Capital in 2000. As the President, Mr. Walton oversees the growth and development of the firm, oversees day-to-day operations, and manages personnel. He is also responsible for coordinating the management of the firm’s investment committee and managing institutional/ individual marketing activities.He earned his bachelor’s degree from New Mexico State University in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. In 2005, Mr. Walton became a partner in Westwind Capital. In addition to various boards and committees served on within the community, Eric is proud to be the President of the Westwind Capital Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the company. He chairs the committee responsible for all grant giving from the Foundation.

The Westwind Capital Foundation is a charitable organization founded by Westwind Capital, Inc. The principals and employees of Westwind Capital, Inc. formed The Westwind Capital Foundation with the mission to support local community organizations. The Westwind Capital Foundation will provide grants or funds to organizations with a focus on education and health. The Westwind Capital Foundation will support non-profit organizations in the communities where we live and work in order to help the youth of our communities thrive. The Westwind Capital Foundation seeks to provide disadvantaged youth the ability to participate in academic, athletic, musical, artistic, and religious activities to help them develop the necessary skills to contribute the communities that they choose to live. Westwind Capital also seeks to provide disadvantaged youth with necessary medical and dental care. The Westwind Capital Foundation will serve solely as a grant making organization. Grants given by The Westwind Capital Foundation will be for organizations that have tax exempt status under the Internal Revenue Service Section 501(c) 3. Organizations receiving funds from the foundation may only use the funds for operating purposes in providing services. Grant applications will be reviewed quarterly by the Westwind Capital Board of Directors.The Westwind Capital Foundation will be funded by Westwind Capital, Inc. as well as outside donations from corporate partners and individuals. Westwind Capital will donate 1-5% of its annual management fees to The Westwind Capital Foundation.
