The DBT Centre of Ireland CLG is a not-for-proft organisation which will ultimately become a charity. Our aim is the on-demand (ie a waiting list of no more than two months) provision of Comprehensive DBT in Ireland.DBT is an evidence-based psychotherapy that can be used to treat personality disorders (eg BPD etc), interpersonal conflicts, PTSD, Binge Eating Disorder/Bulimia etc.DBT is best described as a ‘doing therapy’. It works because it successfully increases clients’ ability to use effective coping skills, particularly strategies for expressing, experiencing, and regulating intense emotions. Comprehensive DBT involves clients engaging in three related pieces of work: (i) One-to-one weekly therapy (ii) Weekly attendance at DBT Skills Training which is delivered in a group context and (iii) Phone/text/email coaching between therapy sessions.

I worked as an EAP Telephone Counsellor with Validium, a part of the HealthHero group. It was established as a specialist and independent Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provider in 1998. Our mental health services are now an integral part of the culture of many successful organisations in the private and public sector, providing industry thought leadership, innovation, value for money and the highest quality standards.Validium is a mental health and wellbeing consultancy that works in partnership with HR professionals, business leaders and service users in a range of environments, to prevent and overcome the stress, trauma and absence issues that can limit people from performing and engaging with life.My work as a Telephone Counsellor involved the following:- Initial assessment of client needs leading to appropriate clinical pathways;- Provide Single Session Solution Focused Brief Therapy; Structured telephone Counselling; CBT skills modules and eCounselling with clear objectives agreed with the client;- 1-2-1 Solution-Focussed Counselling sessions with clients; - Assist the client in decision making strategies, finding solutions and coping with life changes.- Work with the client on developing an understanding of their relationship with self and others.- Assist the client by delivery of psycho-education, where appropriate;- Case discussions with a Clinical Team Manager for high risk callers, as per the Risk Flag protocol, and any other challenging calls; and- Arrange/send online material to support client work.

Tri-Factor Health provides solutions in the area of obesity management and Wellness for those who most most need them but, for whatever reason, are least likely to get them. The work involved a structured programme, called 'Go the Distance', involving an optimised blend of Talk, Fitness and Nutrition intervention. I have been working with a number of others on a series of pilot studies since the start of 2019 with a number of these having completed the full cycle generating important research findings. I have paused the work in Tri-Factor owing to commemcing doctoral studies.

The Saint Vincent de Paul Society manages two centres in Cork for our citizens who haven't got a home and need temporary accomodation. I provided, during the course of the Covid-19 crisis, cover in a short-term relief capacity (day and night shifts) in emergency situations, and for periods of staff leave, to assist the Service in providing safe and secure accommodation and support for these homeless men.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary therapeutic team in the area of addiction rehabilitation. Working with a project worker in role as observer , I attended group therapy sessions and relapse prevention groups.

Change Partner on a global SAP Transformation Project designed to optimise tax and financial structure. Worked within a multidisciplinary PMO, accountable for delivery of Communications, Knowledge Management and Change Action Plans at programme level. Managed the delivery of change management activities for impacted sites; worked with other Change Leads to drive end user adoption; collaborated with business and functional SMEs at impacted sites to identify change impacts and create change action plans; supported business and change readiness activities. Implementation by the business units has been “a fantastic success with no disruption to product supply”

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, key activities include developing and implementing the communications plan, developing communications content, and stakeholder engagement with global plant managers. Provided expert input into restructuring of project governance process. Worked with local change mangers in Americas and EMEA units on testing/security processes. Worked with PMO to develop an integrated go-live and transition plan. Upgrade was completed successfully effectively.

Lumenia is a boutique management consulting organisation, specialising in the development of business systems strategy and the selection and implementation of enterprise applications – particularly ERP and CRM systems. I worked as lead consultant within the company's Organizational Change Management (OCM) function. I helped to develop the Lumenia OCM approach and deliverables framework (including the various implementation templates in the area of communications, stakeholder engagement and job role definition/transition).Other significant projects completed have included working in role as Organisational Change Manager for a 1,000+ user ERP (Oracle) implementation for a leading pharma company and an interim project manager role on a MS Navision implementation for a UK-based financial services company. I developed and implemented Lumenia’s HR job competency and psychometric assessment framework. This framework is used for Talent Acquisition and Talent Development purposes. I have led a number of organizational development and marketing initiatives within the company. I have also completed group facilitation in relation to a number of internal workshops as well as working with staff on their professional development.

Working with the head of the bank's Retail Division and the Head of HR, I scoped and delivered a team-building assignment with the management team of the largest division in the bank, involving an individual and team assessment and profiling exercise. I assisted the bank with the development of a number of strategic initatives in the human resources environment.Reporting to the Group Head of HR, I conducted a number of executive coaching assignments and developed and implemented a 360 mulit-rater process to support these assignments.

Reporting to the Head of Group Risk, my role was to project manage the bank's aim to achieve compliance certification in respect of the Basel II Standardised Approach. I was responsible for designing and implementing the assurance and certification processes during this period. I also was responsible for developing the communications framework whereby internal and external stakeholders were kept abreast of developments. The bank announced that it had achieved a satisfactory state of readiness in repsect of Basel II in April 2007.

Change Manager, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Change Programme• Managed diverse customer and stakeholder relationships, conducted Impact Assessments and facilitated related workshops, facilitated a Training Needs/Broader Business Impact analysis and related workshops, project-managed organisational learning and knowledge management interventions, and ensured compliance with required reporting and control requirements.

Working for the Global Head of EM Sales and Trading, managed the relationship with the internal bank support departments (e.g. Technology, Risk Management, Compliance etc) and external stakeholders..
