- Key contributor to the NUI Galway EU Funding strategy in conjunction with the Vice President for Research including the management, organisation and facilitation of consultation events, analysis of feedback and staff inputs into the plan. - Leading and project managing multiple successful projects and budgets across funding programmes: Horizon 2020, Director General Schemes, INTERREG, and other international agencies. NUI Galway are currently the top ranking Higher Education Institute in Ireland in EU Funding. - Proactively review, analyse EU Funding Work Programmes and Funding calls, and apply expert knowledge of the NUI Galway research agenda and strategic awareness to match funding opportunities with the NUI Galway Research Community.- Organise key events and deliver training workshops as part of the EU Project Office. - Develop potential collaborations with EU consortia to grow networks to maximise NUI Galway’s success.- Provide support to the Vice President for Research and University in respect of national and international funding initiatives including EU Strategy Workgroups in Ireland and Brussels, determine their impact and develop policy and procedures to manage changes. - Develop and nurture relationships across the University to ensure effective, efficient and professional service delivery to the NUI Galway Research Community. - Provide support to the Vice President for Research in relation to the development, execution and delivery of a Social Media Strategy and Policy. Management and Implementation of the College of Engineering and Informatics Marketing and Communications Plan. Planning, developing and implementing effective marketing communication campaigns for all College of Engineering and Informatics activity in both the Irish and international marketplaces at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Writing copy for all marketing material including brochures, web, press, conference and multimedia productions. Monitoring ongoing campaign spend against the budget, keeping accurate records and highlighting where variances occur. Produce an accurate analysis of campaigns against total spend to ensure targets are met. Responsible for NUI Galway Engineers Week campaigns which are designed to encourage young people to consider a career in STEM fields.
