The important thing we must remember is to stay together during this time of hardship. As the crisis around corona virus grows Enactus DTU has come up with Enactus Connect to step up the efforts to tackle the challenges posed and the consequent impact on the society. Our aim is to reach out to these people who are in need of help. Our idea further extends for the students as well who are facing difficulty and confusion regarding their future and admission process. In this time of uncertainty, with India in a lockdown, businesses and educational institutions closed, and minimal access to essential items.The call for action is now, and we are trying to not leave anyone behind. We all have a long way to go in this fight but these small steps will help us win in the long battle against corona virus. Show less

Devised in collaboration with Enactus Southampton University, Project Milan aims to address the Indian Agrarian Crisis in the most novel, innovative way possible – through the implementation of Aquaponics. Aquaponics is a neo-agrarian tool – one which combines both pisciculture (fish farming) and agriculture into a symbiotic system, whereby the excreta of fish is used to provide essential nutrients to plants. The system thus works in a cyclic fashion.

Unnayan is a water based project where Enactus DTU has developed a biosand filter in collaboration with Sehgal Foundation and plans on selling these filters and setting them up in urban slums where drinking water is expensive or not available. The aim of Unnayan is to provide safe drinking water to the under privileged and reduce diseases due to consumption of unhealthy water.

Project Avataran was an Enactus DTU initiative that taught the acid attack victims to make liquid dishwashing soaps. The soap was made by recycling and reusing cooking oil that would have otherwise been wasted or recooked, leading to potentially harmful environmental and physiological effects.Project Avataran employed 27 entrepreneurs (Acid attack victims), reused 6754.5 litres of cooking oil that is alone enough to pollute a 50 km stretch of river Yamuna.Each entrepreneur worked 7… Show more Project Avataran was an Enactus DTU initiative that taught the acid attack victims to make liquid dishwashing soaps. Due to paucity of resources, these women have to take up jobs such as domestic help, cleaning, rag-picking where they face a lot of emotional, monetary and sometimes even sexual exploitation.Project Chhaap was started as a venture to support and empower the women of this country, to provide them with a source of livelihood and respect. Due to paucity of resources, these women have to take up jobs such as domestic help, cleaning, rag-picking where they face a lot of emotional, monetary and sometimes even sexual exploitation.Project Chhaap was started as a venture to support and empower the women of this country, to provide them with a source of livelihood and respect. This project uses a very simple technique of printing, screen printing, for printing custom-designed sweatshirts and t-shirts. With orders of t-shirts and sweatshirts successfully delivered to reputed institutions like IIT Roorkee, Pearl Academy, JMC, the women of a small slum near Pitampura who are working with Project Chhaap, have proven that innovation, combined with perseverance, always wins. Knowing that these women have not only earned a stable source of income but also, a lot of respect and honour in their society, makes us believe in our Project, in its mission. Show less
