About Emily Andrus, P.E.
I graduated from Brigham Young University in April 2019. I started work at Horrocks Engineers in June of the same year as a traffic engineering EIT in St. George, Utah. Shortly after moving to St. George, I was appointed to the St. George Planning Commission by Mayor Jon Pike. My work experience as an EIT was mostly focused on traffic analysis and operations. However, I have also had the opportunity to work in transportation planning, traffic modeling, and roadway and signal design. As a planning commissioner, I have had experience in land development, land use planning, and city planning. Since that time, I have earned my professional license in Utah and Idaho. We spent 8 months as a team developing a method to teach the people of Porcon, Peru how to preserve fruit by canning. We traveled to Peru at the end of the 8 months, implemented our method, and gathered feedback on how useful our project was.
