I served as project manager of a highly productive team that implemented empirical child development research and translated this knowledge to inform social policy and practice. Specifically, our research team evaluated infant/toddler and early childhood programs designed to prevent maladaptive outcomes in at-risk populations. Much of my work focused on improving classroom quality in center-based care, and effects of trauma and stress exposure in early childhood.

- Served as site project manager for a large-scale, collaborative research project investigating neural correlates of early social development. Oversaw all aspects of the research- from research design and implementation; subject recruitment and marketing materials; hiring and training of full-time staff, graduate and undergraduate students; creation of lab protocols and behavioral coding assessments; organized administrative and educational staff meetings; maintained staff morale while meeting goals of the grant and its multiple stakeholders.- Used signal processing and statistical techniques for analysis of EEG (electroencephalogram) data- Presented research findings at national and international conferences and published in academic journals.

- Designed and implemented behavioral assessment studies (e.g., eye tracking, visual habituation, imitation) with infants and adults. - Analyzed data using various data reduction and statistical methods- Presented research findings at national and international conferences and published in academic journals- Co-wrote and/or contributed to grant proposals funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Office of Naval Research (ONR), and the Jacobs Foundation.
