About Rob Rogers, M.D.
Dr. Rob Rogers is a native of Bristol, Tennessee and attended Tennessee High School, before going on to The University of Tennessee, Knoxville for his undergraduate degree and The University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis for medical school. After receiving his medical doctorate, he trained in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine at The University of Maryland. Dr. Rogers currently practices Emergency Medicine in Bristol, Tennessee at The Bristol Regional Medical Center. He formerly worked at The University of Maryland and at The University of Kentucky, both in the Departments of Emergency Medicine. He was in academic practice at both institutions for a total of 18 years, and he had risen to the rank of and carried the title of Full Professor of Emergency Medicine at UK before changing career paths. He has won multiple teaching awards in his career as an educator, including the National Faculty Teaching Award from The American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. In addition, Dr. Rogers won the Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award multiple years while a faculty member at The University of Maryland in Baltimore. An innovative medical educator on the cutting edge of creativity, Dr. Rogers created an international think tank of educators, called Medutopia in 2017. He has also previously shared his knowledge on a monthly medical education podcast. A growing dissatisfaction with modern medicine and the lack of appreciation for the individuality of patients led Dr. Rogers to develop and create Encompass 360, a genomics-based, precision medicine clinic. In addition, a growing frustration with treating disease at the end of the life, after it was too late, and not having any means to effectively prevent illness, led him to firmly believe that there had to be a better way. He desired to help patients reach their health goals and live healthier, happier lives. Out of this want and desire to make a difference, he became a precision medicine practitioner. Dr. Rogers currently works Lifeforce and is the Chief Medical Officer for Buoyant. He has transitioned his to career to become a precision medicine physician with a focus on metabolism, biochemistry, and genetics. He has extensive experience in telemedicine, hormone optimization, and patient education.
