I am a compassionate trauma informed and solution focused therapist with an international perspective and knowledge base. He holds a master’s degree in Addiction Counseling and Psychotherapy from The University of Minnesota and is a full accredited member of IACP and the ACI. I trained in the United States with the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation at their Intensive Outpatient Program in St. Paul, Minnesota. I have extensive experience working in the fields of trauma, addiction, as well as Eating Disorders from working with the Emily Program (St. Paul) and The Eating Recovery Center (Chicago). I am currently working as a professional Addiction Counselor at Aiseiri, Cahir.I work from a humanistic, person-centered approach and believes in creating a safe, supportive, non-judgmental, and confidential space in which clients can heal and grow. I am a firm believer in person-centered therapy, which gives the client control of the speed, and depth of work in each session. When Enda works with clients, he incorporates three aspects to create positive change: Client Strengths, Positive Regard, and Compassion. I believe that everybody can use added support from time to time. When working together, I can create a space for you to explore the challenges you’re facing, figure out what goals you want to set for your work in therapy, and develop appropriate coping skills to overcome barriers and create meaningful change in your life. I believe my primary role as a therapist is to help people navigate life’s challenges so they can realize that their current narrative is not the end of their story. Throughout my work, I have helped clients with a wide range of issues including addiction, eating disorders, body issues and acceptance, anxiety, depression, anger management, stress, relationship issues, sexuality, gender identity, control issues, self-harm, suicidal ideation, suicide bereavement, childhood abuse (sexual, emotional, physical), self-esteem, isolation, and loneliness.
