Ender Sánchez has almost 16 years of experience in the oil and gas industry whichinclude reservoir management, well productivity, petroleum geology, geomechanicscharacterization, stratigraphical characterization, integrated studies, new well locationstrategies, geomodeling. He hold a bachelor’s degree in Geology Engineering and aspecialization degree in Petroleum Geology. His areas of expertise include technicalsupport in borehole-stability problems during drilling and production to differentcompletion schemes, pore pressure prediction, rock mass and rock stress estimation,estimate mud safe window and best direction to drill horizontal wells. In addition to thisHe has been in charge of reservoir and production well surveillance that includegeneration of recommendations to drill new wells, geological models to oil reservescharacterization. He has conducted numerous short courses in Geomechanics forUniversities and the Oil &Gas Industry. Over the last few years, he has applying hisexpertise to the real-time wellbore stability monitoring and mechanical earth modelestimation for Petroleos de Venezuela Company.Currently, He is working as a Senior Geomechanics Engineer for Petroleos de VenezuelaS.A. , to develop a feasibility study for developing 1D model for drilling wells in a safetyway in heavy oil reservoir, to establish optimum trajectory for new wells also estimatecritical draw down to minimize sand production. Generation of data acquisition plan torun special logs and take field test with the intention of characterizing and calibrategeomechanical model. Developing a workflow for building 1D and 3D mechanical earthmodel to determine in situ stresses, mechanical properties and pore pressure forhydraulic fracture design, borehole stability analysis, sand production prediction throughintegrating with well log data, sonic velocity log data, FMI image log data, MDT porepressure testing and lab rock testing data.
