As a Sr. Infrastructure Specialist I have had the opportunities to design a Cloud Infrastructure from the ground up using Oracle Virtual Machine (OVM) on an Oracle Engineered system (VCA), ZFS Storage SAN Along with backup solutions and backup recovery and all services that coincide. Designed Virtual infrastructure using Oracle Sun hardware, OVM to support DR at a second Data Center location. Along with a third cluster for DEMO and Testing.I have also designed the infrastructure for a web application hosted in the Cloud. This includes Apache Web Proxy's, Apache/Tomcat Web Servers and Mysql/Postgres Database servers with DEV, QA and DEMO environments while also maintaining the systems. I have implemented many systems to support the infrastructure such as: 389 Directory LDAP Server Nessus Vulnerability Scanning Graylog2 Syslog Server NFS Servers Zenoss I support the network infrastructure using Juniper SRX Firewalls. I also support migrating new clients to the cloud by bringing their data or migrating existing Virtual Machines to the Tier1 Cloud, While also providing Linux Operating support and consultation to clients outside the cloud.

Responsible for applying security and package updates, verifying and testing in the development environment and then applying to production on RedHat Enterprise 4, 5 and 6. Optimization and update of the Linux Kernel by changing parameters on the fly for better performance.
