These roles, achieved through a series of well-deserved promotions, have provided him with the expertise and leadership skills to establish and lead his own successful consulting firm. His past roles include Decision and Risk Management Consultant, Interface Manager, Stage-gate Review Leader, Regional Project Controls Manager, Six-Sigma Project Leader, Sr. Program Planner, Corporate Project Development College Director, and Construction Engineer.He has demonstrated exceptional leadership both on-site and in corporate offices of ConocoPhillips, Phillips 66, Quarter North Energy, Dow Chemical, and Reliant Energy, working in Upstream, Midstream, Downstream, Turnarounds, and Maintenance. His leadership spans the entire project timeline from project definition to commissioning and startup. Don’s leadership extends beyond his roles; he has served as co-chair of the CII Performance Assessment Community of Practice (COP), chair of the Risk Management COP, member of the Professional Development COP, and has spoken at multiple industry conferences. He is co-founder of a Toastmaster’s chapter, and Graduate-Assistant for the Dale Carnegie Professional Development Course.He holds an Honors B.S. in Business Administration and has completed coursework toward an MBA. He has a Decision and Risk Management certificate from Stanford/University of Texas and is a PMI Project Management and Risk Management Professional, and Six Sigma Black Belt.
