I am a fourth year student at the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico and also an Adult Volunteer at Girl Scout, and member of the Polytechnic University Robotics Team.Started in robotics since sixth grade. My eagerness for science led me to study in the Specialized School in Science and Mathematics, Brígida Álvarez Rodríguez. I had participated in many scientific activities from Science Fairs to Mathematical Olympiad.My love for animals led to work my Girl Scout Silver Medal project in the subject of manatee conservation and become volunteer at the Manatee Conservation Center of PR. My effort was recognized by the Design for Change organization, which in 2014 selected my project "Read, Learn and Protect the Manatees" in the Be the Change Convention in India.But it was in ninth grade where I discovered what I wanted to be in life: Mechanical Engineer. That's why I accepted the challenge of being the coordinator of my school robotic club from 2013 to 2015. I was a member of Girl Scout Robotic Team from 2009 to 2016 (designer, programmer, engineer and driver). I also offered robotics workshops to Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. I want to to inspire others, specially girls like me, to study STEM careers. For those things, I was recognized by NCWIT by receiving the "Award for Aspirations in Computing"​.My international experiences led me to form the group "Young Scientists for PR", as my Girl Scout Gold Medal, to support young students from high school, interested in Scientific Research. As part of this I have offered workshops of Scientific Research, to students from public & private schools and homeschoolers. I want to complete a PhD in Mechanical Engineer.I am also an HERlead Fellow 2015 (formerly known as the ANNpower Vital Voices Initiative) and a Grantee 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019.I want to continue my scientific development, finding solutions to improve the quality of life and serve as role model to young students.
