Shehzad Khan is a graduate research assistant and a Master's student in Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Southern University (GSU). He has a keen interest and expertise in modeling and simulation, especially for lithium-ion battery safety.At GSU, he is working on developing and validating models that accurately predict the thermal runaway behavior of lithium-ion batteries in various conditions. He uses MATLAB/ Julia and ANSYS products to perform his research and analysis tasks. Shehzad Khan has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, where he graduated with distinction and honors. He also has experience as a founder of a startup that specialized in the design and manufacture of peristaltic pumps, and as a production intern at Heavy Industries Taxila, where he worked on various projects related to tank and vehicle design and production. He is passionate about applying his modeling and simulation skills to solve real-world problems and contribute to the advancement of engineering knowledge and practice.
