I have known Mr. Du Wayne Engelhart very well during his time of volunteer work at our temple. He devotes his time and knowledge to teaching the English language to the monks and to the members of the Thai community at the Wat Thai Washington, D.C. He performs many editing jobs for the monks and lay members of the Wat Thai. He also contributes articles to the monthly temple magazine. In fact, Du Wayne is one of the good members in our small Thai community in the Washington, D.C., area who always keeps his heart close to the Buddha’s teachings and strictly follows the Buddhist practices. He has always helped out and participated in many activities held at the temple, especially at several main Buddhist events throughout the year. With his pious devotion to volunteer at the temple and to give back to the community, he is a good example to others. He is a very good-hearted American Buddhist who is so willing to give back to the community and so to sustain a spirit of loving-kindness in this world.
