Born in Eritrea but raised in Hannover, Germany where I now live and work. I am an experienced civil engineer and professional networking enthusiast with international work experience. Alongside 15+ years as a civil engineer planning and building houses, developing energy self-sufficient and self-cleaning island solutions including solar-powered houses and buildings, I have been active in construction industry networking for 13+ years. Much of my time has been spent directly running a networking service in the form of ingFinder, which went offline in 2015. A whole new platform, zulul, takes ingFinder's place with a new and wider-reaching concept to address not only civil engineers and architects but all players in the international construction industry. Although I live in Europe, I am linked professionally and personally to the African continent where the construction industry is vastly different. It’s not just about building emergency housing following natural catastrophes, something in which I am very interested. It’s about connecting the right people, institutions and companies to change the construction industry and the way people can connect over a topic, take charge and help to develop the African continent.Based on my experiences as a student and a professional I understand the challenges of finding an entry into the construction industry and the importance of connecting with your peers as early as possible. That’s why I want to support universities and their students to use zulus’s features to their advantage to connect early on with the international construction industry and it’s many and diverse professionals. I’m looking for like-minded partners, investors and sponsors who think big and want to change the way the construction industry works.I’m a member of the Chamber of Engineers of lower Saxony.
