At GAB, he managed internal and external communications as well as corporate responsibility. He also supported the external affairs and government relations functions of Malaysia’s leading brewer.Eng Hock started his career in Malaysia’s leading English daily, The Star, in 2005, and spent almost a decade reporting on national politics and policies. Interest in journalism started early for Eng Hock, who took part in The Star's young journalist programme at 16 and since then had been freelancing for the newspaper until he joined them as a full-time staff at 22.
