CurrentThe Cross River Rail (CRR) project is a transformative $5.4 billion initiative creating a new 10.2 km rail line, including 5.9 km of tunnels under the Brisbane River and CBD. This project will enhance connectivity and enable a turn-up-and-go transport system for South East Queensland with four new underground stations and upgrades to several suburban stations.A key component of this project is the comprehensive rebuild of Salisbury station. This upgrade will significantly improve accessibility and connectivity, featuring: • An additional third platform • A new station building • Enhanced platform finish • A new overpass with four lifts and four switchback stairs • An enclosed bicycle storage shelter • Accessible car parking and Kiss ‘n’ Ride spaces • A canopy on the platform for better weather protectionThese enhancements at Salisbury station are designed to provide better access and convenience for all passengers, contributing to the overall success of the CRR project.
