The Cross River Rail (CRR) project is a transformative $5.4 billion initiative creating a new 10.2 km rail line, including 5.9 km of tunnels under the Brisbane River and CBD. This project will enhance connectivity and enable a turn-up-and-go transport system for South East Queensland with four new underground stations and upgrades to several suburban stations.A key component of this project is the comprehensive rebuild of Salisbury station. This upgrade will significantly improve accessibility and connectivity, featuring: • An additional third platform • A new station building • Enhanced platform finish • A new overpass with four lifts and four switchback stairs • An enclosed bicycle storage shelter • Accessible car parking and Kiss ‘n’ Ride spaces • A canopy on the platform for better weather protectionThese enhancements at Salisbury station are designed to provide better access and convenience for all passengers, contributing to the overall success of the CRR project.

The West Gate Tunnel Project, One of Victoria’s largest ever urban road projectsCPB Contractors is working with Transurban to deliver Victoria’s multi-billion dollar West Gate Tunnel Project.The West Gate Tunnel project will deliver a vital alternative to the West Gate Bridge, provide quicker and safer journeys, and remove thousands of trucks from residential streets.

Implementation of infrastructure projects as required by Councils budget within designated time frames whilst having a positive impact on the public and ratepayers’ perception of Council. Duties include:• Manage major project developments undertaken by Council or on Council land.• Develop long term programs for the renewal and maintenance, development and/or replacement of Council buildings, parks, sports and leisure facilities, car parks and streetscapes.• Provide planning and advice for major and minor projects.• Prepare estimates, budget bids and assist in formulating funding applications for projects related to Council assets.• Provide technical advice and support to Council staff including other Directorates.

I was engaged on the Riyadh Metro Project from mobilisation stage, working for the consortium between Bechtel, Almabani, CCC and Siemens. I worked on civil structures, stations, precast production and construction of the labour camp and precast yard. Duties included:• Preparing project management plans.• Working with the safety team to prepare safety plans.• Reviewing design drawings and specifications for technical accuracy.• Managing the procurement of steel.• Communicating design and deliverables to the site teams.• Managing the resolution of complex design and construction issues.• Raising and managing RFI’s, NCR’s and FCD’s – managing all design changes.• Managing budgets and schedules, identifying ways to improve outcomes.• Preparing project reporting and reviewing and pricing claims and variations. Project details: Riyadh Metro Project Line 1 & 2, 38km & 25km of underground, grade level and elevated track with 42 stations.

I worked on a high-rise project consisting of two 42 level towers and podium through to completion. I was responsible for design management of the structure and design coordination of the architect and engineering team to identify and resolve design clashes. Duties included:• Reviewing and interpreting design drawings for compliance and buildability.• Resolving design clashes between mechanical, electrical, architectural and structural design.• Managing design changes and production of construction documentation.• Preparing structural shop and as-built drawings.• Leading a team of engineers and draftspersons. • Supporting the delivery team to resolve construction issues.Project details: The Nile Corniche ProjectTwo 42 level towers with a podium containing restaurants, retail and meeting halls. This is the tallest building on the Nile with one tower a St Regis Hotel and the second one high specification residential units.

In this role, I was responsible for issuing structural shop drawings and overseeing the construction of structural columns and slabs. Responsibilities included:• Preparing structural shop drawings.• Coordinating with the design team to develop solutions to design clashes.• Preparing method statements and material approval requests. • Coordinating with site engineers to communicate design.• Resolve technical and construction issues.• Inspecting completed works to ensure compliance with standards and specification, preparing as-built shop drawings.Project Details: QATALUM aluminum smelter plant in Qatar, a JV between Qatar Petroleum and Norsk Hydro.
