According to official statistics, the literacy rate of Pakistan is about 42% whereas sources are not ready to admit it more than 25%. About 1903460 children take admission in primary schools and about 1771382 are enrolled in secondary schools.But on University level the figure is just 139320. in other words ratio of students who get themselves registered in higher education institution is only 2.9%.
