Current- Responsible for all activities pertaining to specialty valve assembly machines (10 production cells)- Troubleshoot machines and ensure that all steps of processing and testing during the assembly process are functioning at peak performance- Create and implement continuous improvement initiatives through knowledge of PLCs, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic systems, and inspection cameras and software- Find opportunities for rework streams and reduce overall scrap costs, implement… Show more - Responsible for all activities pertaining to specialty valve assembly machines (10 production cells)- Troubleshoot machines and ensure that all steps of processing and testing during the assembly process are functioning at peak performance- Create and implement continuous improvement initiatives through knowledge of PLCs, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic systems, and inspection cameras and software- Find opportunities for rework streams and reduce overall scrap costs, implement reclamation processes and document- Work with new product development to produce and analyze performance of product and identify development needs to mitigate post launch yield and performance issues - Analyze customer returns for failure methods and create/modify existing processing and testing procedures to reduce failure occurrence and escape - Create metrics to track production loss leaders and use Six Sigma techniques to implement projects leadings to improved yield and cost savings- Work with other internal departments and supplier quality to improve sub component consistency- Successfully lead specialty valve in yield increase from 96 to 98+% while maintaining quality metrics and machine cycle times Show less
