Worked as Manager Production (Machining Division). The main function of this post is the Production Planning and Control of Chassis and Engine Parts of the Tractors. (Chassis Parts: Centre Housing, Transmissions Case and Axle Housing. Engine Parts : Cylinder Block, Cylinder Head, Lube Oil Sump). • Plan and organize the manufacturing operations which ensure the most effective return on assets.• Initiative plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital. Assure attainment of business objectives and productions schedules while insuring product quality that meets the standards.• Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure maximum output and minimum waste.• Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned areas for problem solving and cost reduction, both on a permanent and ad-hoc basis, depending on need.• Encourage use of new techniques and focus on fact based problem solving.• Improve manpower utilization within existing areas and processes. Schedule stability that allows for maximum return on efficiencies.• Manage spending against budget, controlling spending in relation to changes in production volume.• Assure that collective bargaining agreements are effectively administered and that employee grievances are addressed in a timely fashion.• Liaising with other departments i.e., Assembly Plants, Technical Department, Maintenance department and Logistic department in order to handle the issues.• Liaising with vendors to fix the technical issues. • Checking production, quality and CMM (Coordinate measuring machine) reports, tooling and none tooling cost reports, man-hour utilization reports and taking necessary corrective actions as and when required. • Ensuring proper implementation of ERP system (IFS) and liaising with IT department to fix the related issues.

Installation and commissioning of Cylinder Block & Head Machining Project

The Main area of work of this project was fabrication and erection of conveyors, hammers, hoppers and other steel structure fabrication and Erection work. DG Khan Cement Company was the client and FLSmidth of Denmark was the Consultant of the project. The Plant is one of the big Cement manufacturing plants in Pakistan with capacity of 6700 TPD (tons per day). • Leading and instructing and monitoring the workforce for allocated works to meet defined targets.• Assigning tasks for supervisors & evaluate performance.• Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas. • Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle.• Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.• Making and presenting project progress reports.• Attending meetings with client / consultant engineers in order to fix the issues and meet the targets.
