FounderGood Work House Jun 2019 - Aug 2022Los Angeles, California, UsFounded Good Work House, a member-based community built around impact-driven creators in Venice, California. Members paid monthly dues to sponsor a Haitian child’s education. That gave them access to a variety of events led by volunteers that included live music, yoga, book signings, film screenings, open mic night. The physical venue closed due to COVID.Re-birthed Good Work House into web3 along with two dozen NFT artists and developers. Our convening project, Groundbreaking, was a collection of Haitian art from a group of twelve artists in Port-au-Prince that we mentored virtually for ten weeks, helping them to launch their first NFTs. We supported the collection with an event at BudmanStudio in Venice. After a period of “emergence,” a successful NFT enthusiast community, IRL Alpha, built around a weekly IRL event and livestream, became viable and was spun out.Created Camp Good Work House, a virtual summer camp for middle and high school students in the summer of 2020 to keep kids connected during the first summer of Covid. We recruited two dozen creators and mentors and hosted 150 kids over 8 weeks. -
