Professional with over ten years’ experience in the construction industry. Working in Canada I have been responsible for projects in the range of $300k to 2.5M, working on up to 5 projects at a time. Being part of COR certified company has given me the opportunity to work in very demanding projects, full of constraints from the technical, economic and safety point of view. In all my projects I have obtained substantial performance and final completion in time. On top of that, I have been able to Identified and received approval for multiple change orders. This COs ranges from 15% of the original budget to over, a surprising, 200%. In Dominican Republic I was directly responsible for projects worth up to $10M which included construction of low-rise apartments and office buildings with underground parking, gas stations, department stores and renovations in hospitals. As project manager I am responsible to take ownership of many projects simultaneously. My main goal is to make customers happy by moving projects forwards while ensuring quality standards are met and exceed. This is possible keeping an open and clear communication with the clients, my upper management and the team working directly with me. Organize, plan, critical path schedule, evaluate bids from sub-contractors, issue purchase orders, are some of the tasks on which I work on daily basis. Identify and develop new opportunities with clients for potential change orders. Also, to be a scalation channel to upper management and weekly reports of job status. In charge of post project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements. As superintendent I have to be fully aware of the project requirements by studying the contract documents, drawings, specs and addendums, understand customer’s needs specifically for the project. Daily plan, schedule, organize site work with the foreman so that it is completed in an efficient manner. Ask questions, raise RFIs to the project team when discrepancies seem to exist. Recommend changes to project team to increase efficiency. Be aware of all long lead delivery items and locates. Instituting disciplinary measures together with our Health and Safety department as needed. Maintain daily written logbook information that includes detailed information about work done on site, manpower, material and equipment. Submit daily prior to shift commencement- work rosters, photos, and videos Ensures safety and security at site.
