Competent authority of the project is PEDO (Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization) and KHNP Consortium with KIND, KEPCO KPS, SAMBU E&C, LOTTE E&C, HYUNDAI ENG, DOOSAN. Approximate cost of the project is 1031 MUSD.Responsibilities:-• Conduct POE meetings to approve structural designs of the hydropower project (HPP)• Strong coordination with the GoKP and PPPs for progress of the HPP• To facilitate the Private Sponsors with different public sector entities like PPIB, NEPRA, NTDC, IRSA, Irrigation Department and Environmental Department• Support sponsors to get NOCs from forest department, EPA, Mine and Mineral Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa• Reviewing progress of HPP and review/approval of feasibility studies while conducting the Panel of Experts (PoE) meetings• Frequent field visits to check the design feasibility with ground situation• Correspondence with Sponsors and dealing with their technical and legal queries • Coordination with Legal Advisor regarding legal issues and court hearings• Preparation and approval of PC-I by the concerned Authority• Participate in public hearing for the smooth future construction of the project

Mini Micro Hydro Power Projects (MMHPPs) was an Asian Development Bank funded USD 237 million worth flagship Mini-Micro Hydro Project as part of Access to Clean Energy Investment Program to construct 1000 schemes (356-Phase I and 672-Phase II) on streams and canals across KP. In a pivotal managerial role I was responsible to coordinate the project activities including planning, contracting, designing, monitoring, quality assurance, and performance management.Performed following responsibilities for 268 operational and 44 under construction MMHPP Phase-I and preparation of Phase-II 672 MMHPP• Reviewed feasibility, design work plan and progress • Set monthly targets on regular basis for the 07 Contractor Firms in order to ensure efficient and timely completion of project• Obtained regular written reports from PEDO PMU field staff of 03 Regional offices of ongoing projects • Reviewed project activities and progress and submitted the final consolidated report to top management • Deployed results frameworks for project oversight & reported in lieu of agreed project results (RBL)• Developed periodic reporting templates & systems for MMHPPs• Managed the Clean Energy M&E System cloud-based tool which is designed to monitor the status of clean energy programs• Developed mechanism for derivation of tariff• Coordinated with Law, Finance and E&P Dept. for vetting of Asset Transfer Mechanism and Transfer deed for handing over the schemes to community• Examined bidding documents prepared by the Management Consultants for hiring of Contractor Firms for implementation of MMHPs Phase-II• Provided support in the preparation of standard Manuals & Guidelines for the Site identification, feasibility, and detail design, O&M and Business Model for the implementation of the Project• Prepared planning PC-II of the project “Identification of Hydropower potential in the newly merged areas (Erstwhile Fata) of KP;• Obtained the approval of PC-II from PDWP at the cost of 50 million

Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO) envisaged Barandoo Hydropower Project (HPP) with the prime objective to supply cheap electricity to the national grid in order to cater for power demands. The scheme has been planned as run of the river type with available live storage upstream of the weir. The proposed project is located on Barandoo River, at tributary of the Indus River between Mujahidin and Dadam villages of District Torghar. The project area is located at a distance of about 173 km from Peshawar towards the North-East and 230km from Islamabad in North-West direction in District Torghar.Responsibilities:-• Obtained the approval of PC-I from PDWP at the cost of 4195.66 million • Planned, organized and managed the procurement & Contracts of the projects. Prepared Procurement Plan and Contract Execution Strategy for the projects and coordinated with Chief Engineer/GM Hydel• Managed all procurement & contract activities and effective purchasing of project requirements in accordance with project or end-user schedules, specifications and budgets • Prepared Expression of Interest, pre-qualification documents and evaluation reports for shortlisting of Project Management Consultant (PMC) for the project as per PEC guidelines• Participated in bid reviews & evaluations.
