Management of: engineering design, validation, and co-design supplier (Akrapovic), for the development of complete Titanium exhaust system for 500+ hp Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde QV 2015. Reported to: Head of Engine Systems - Powertrain Manager

Management of project engineering, validation and industrialisation from early prototype phase to start of production (SOP). Responsibilities include: Coordination of internal team as well as multiple engineering sub-contractors and suppliers; Organization and direction of regular technical design reviews both complete vehicle and area specific; Technical direction of vehicle test validation program; FEA static simulation of entire vehicle chassis.Objectives reached:1) Completion of multilevel combined engineering/purchasing BOM, 2) Restructuring of EE development plan to align: budget, time, and resources to arrive at SOP;3) Phase2 chassis FEA calculations,4) Phase1 static and dynamic accelerated durability testing,5) Purchasing planning for Phase2 and 3 prototype procurement implementing 100% of the industrialisation approved by the executive management.Report directly to the CTO, CEO and CFO.Team/staff: 22 people

Technical Department Head responsible for:Concept and detail design engineering, FMEA execution (ConceptFMEA and DesignFMEA), Definition and planning of Design Validation Plans (DVP includes virtual and physical validation testing) for prototype vehicles and their components, execution/implementation of DFM/DFA analyses, structural analyses and management of the CAE department, Accelerated variable load fatigue testing, Linear overload testing (exceeding yield and/or rupture), Climatic wind tunnel high temperature analyses, Design and construction of static test benches and measurement jigs, Optimisation of the engineering department methods and processes.Objectives reached:Formalisation of the Engineering Dept.:1) Realisation of two and three wheel vehicle technical design and validation specifications (3D modelling, reverse engr., CAE/FEM, Chassis stiffness, EE/CAN),2) Design and specification of dynamic double-actuation variable load test bench.BMW Motorrad Big Scooters Project:Please reference Exnovo Project Management role (next entry).Additional clients vehicle projects:3) Detailed definition of vehicle Design Validation Plan (virtual and physical testing),4) On-site multiple vehicle durability testing data acquisitions (at India’s VRDE),5) Phase1 layout and design of electric scooter with retractable battery pack.Reported directly to the Partner CEOs as well as client project chiefs.Team/staff: 43 people

BMW Motorrad Big Scooters Project (engine and primary drive excluded).Principal objectives reached:1) Successful management of:- Engineering design, series prototype construction, validation, industrialisation, and SOP in the BMW Plant Berlin of two 650cc maxi scooter models; - Integration of complete vehicle 3D models into BMW Prisma database,2) Management and updating of multilevel combined engineering/purchasing BOM and its integration into BMW Parts list TAIS.Reported directly to the BMW Project Chief and Head of Urban Mobility as well as Partner CEOs.Team/staff: 39 people

Creation and management of a completely new department, Bimota Engineering, founded on the Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix class Moto2 project and dedicated to the design, realization and development of competition motorcycles and their components. Responsibilities include: Interpretation of the technical regulations developments, Establishing and maintaining the relations with the responsible agencies (FIM, Dorna, and IRTA), Analyses of rider ergonomic triangle and subsequent weight distribution and the impact on Cg and straight line aerodynamics, Experimentation in realising chassis components in carbon fibre utilizing unidirectional and bi-axial fabrics to realise trellis or monolithic structures.Objectives reached:1) Successful management of:- Conceptualization, engineering and marketing of a Moto2 chassis “kit” for the new grand prix class,- Phase1 Moto2 prototype- Phase1 chassis FEA calculations2) Business plan and cost analysis for various Moto2 chassis kit supply scenarios.3) Drafting of contract for Moto2 development team collaboration and Moto2 chassis kit purchase.4) Eicma Aisa 2009 (2nd Ed.) - Sole on-site administration of Bimota’s first presence, included successful dealer research and sale of exposition vehicles.Reported directly to the CEO and President.Team/staff: 12 people

Management of the supply of special parts in titanium and lightweight alloys for F1, Le Mans, GT2/3, WRC, MotoGP, SBK and aeronautical companies throughout Europe. Technical consultation for clients on: choice of materials, surface and heat treatments.Objectives reached:1) Successful management of:- Validation and first supply of Beta-C titanium helical springs for Ferrari F430 aftermarket (Ferrari Genuine Parts),- Construction and supply of Ferrari Formula A1 engine carbon fibre air intake system,- Validation and first supply of titanium Gr.5 wheel bolts for Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera,2) Successful technical-commercial bid for Westland special steel bolts (first Westland commission for Poggipolini).Reported directly to the President.
