For the period I have been attached with Broadcast Engineer of engineering department of Pakistan television Quetta center responsible maintenance and operation of Satellite earth station and Digital Satellite News gathering (DSNG).in additional I spent time with editing team and learn all aspect of Linear & Non-Linear editing tool in order to have overall understanding of broadcast operation. To routine activities with Broadcast Engineer and team in included. Maintain & operate DSNG, RF satellite transmission Equipment.Maintain and troubleshoot various video tape machines and cameras.Responsible for smooth running of automated operations in MCRMaintaining MCR (MASTER CONTROL ROOM) operations.Managing broadcast and transmission operations for final outputMaintaining audio and video equipments (VTRS, AUDIO LIMITERS, ENCODER AND MODULATORS) Install cabling and equipment, interprets schematics used in the design of new installation, patch and supervise live OB event in Quetta.Maintain and operate the Satellite Earth station and also troubleshoot the problems.

 Analyse Major KPIs on daily basis, investigate any degradation in KPIs like CSSR, HSR and DCR etc. and make the required changes to optimize the network.Coordination with other teams which include NSS, Transmission Planning, RF Planning and optimization. Analyse the Drive Test Log files, investigate the reasons for the bad quality or bad coverage areas, and suggest any frequency or other parameter changes to improve the network performance. Use OMC-based performance tools for analysis and troubleshooting of problems. Enable,suspend and disable different Performance Counters through Huawei’s iManager M2000 and iManager PRS. Defining and extracting the KPI Formulas consisting of several performance counters in Huawei iMangerM2000 and Performance Report System (PRS). Implement frequency and neighbour plan on BSC6900 through Configuartion Management Express (CME) tool.Change in Power Control window on city level and reduced the quality Handover, resulted improvement in DCRMaintaining Network QoS by monitoring and analyzing Key Parameter Indicators.Traffic montoring and balancingPerforming Frequency and Neighbor audit on regular basis using Mapinfo toolsPreparation of weekly and monthly reports for whole Network highlighting worst performing for SDCCH and TCH blocking Post Swap complete Drive Test coordination including TRX Testing (Power Control disabled) Freq/MAIO, Rx Lev, Mute Call, Handover Testing including Intracell, Intercell, InterBSC and Inter MSC and Swap Sector test.

For the period I have been attached with field maintenance and audit teams of Warid/Ericsson responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance of BTS sites and transmission nodes and recording of data for audit of site facilities. In addition I have spent some time with various functions of network operations (Front Office, Back Office etc) in order to have overall understanding of GSM network operations. The routine activities with field maintenance teams included:Operation & Maintenance of Ericsson RBS 2207 (900 MHz), 2206 (1800 MHz), 2106 (900/1800 MHz), 2116 & 2216 (900/1800 MHz); Creation & installation of IDB (Installation Database); Replacement of cards like DXU, dTRU, CDU, CXU, ACCU, TMA-CM, PSU, Y-link cable, ESB cable, backplane etc.Operation & maintenance of MiniLink E (Classic), MiniLink Traffic Node & MiniLink Hi-Cap (STM-1); Configuration of MMU2, MMU2 B/C, MMU2 E, MMU2 F, NPU 8x2, NPU 1B, NPU2, NPU3, LTU 155 e/o, LTU 12x2, LTU 16x2, ETU2 and TRU e/oFixing of critical service affecting internal RBS alarms e.g. VSWR limit exceeded, Rx diversity lost, Rx path imbalance, Tax saturation, RF loop test fault and TF/TS synch fault etc.Fixing of high VSWR alarms using Site Master Anritsu S331D; Identifying the fault location (DTF) and fixing the problem by following appropriate action. Defining and patching of external alarms at RBS 900; testing the alarms locally & synchronizing with OSS/NOC.Conducting Preventive Maintenance Routines (PMR) on the cell sites to ensure trouble free operation and obtain the targeted operational KPIs.Recording of site level data for consumables and facility services (Fuel and CP) for internal audit by Warid teams.
