Being the Business Service Centre Operations Director, I was the key business partner between hotels subscribed to IHG's accounting services and the Global Business Service Centre located in New Delhi, Gurgaon.Other key responsibilities includes overseeing and driving profitability of hotel accounting services for Asia, Middle East & Africa and rolling out regionally based projects for all corporate offices.

As part of the accounting services role, ensuring prompt delivery of accounting services being deployed at hotels is key as this will have an impact on the hotel opening dates.Maintaining service level in accordance to shared services agreement is part of the Key Performance Indicators measured on a monthly basis and provided to senior management for review.Being the service provider for accounting services, I also worked on business continuity plans and disaster recovery for all regional processes.

Part of my compliance role was to develop new processes to ensure strict adherence to SOX and internal audit requirements.My portfolio increased to include closing not just for corporate activities but also activities which were system funded by the hotel owners for Asia, Middle East & Africa.As the subject matter expert for indirect tax, I undertook to clear backlog of indirect tax returns and also trained and transited all indirect tax activities to Global Business Service Centre in New Delhi.

Primary responsibility as the Regional Delivery Manager Account to Close was to ensure corporate accounts for Asia Pacific were being closed accurately and timely in accordance to reporting requirements.Business partnering across different functions allowed me to ensure accurate analytics of monthly results and meaningful commentaries populated for material variances on financial statements.I was also working closely with the Financial Reporting team in Australia to complete statutory audit for Asia Pacific.

As the Regional FP&A Manager in The BodyShop, I had the responsibility to ensure all owned stores in Singapore and Hong Kong individual store's profit & loss were closed accurately and timely.Preparing analytics by markets, inventory and sales metrics on a monthly basis was key to ensure owned stores and franchise markets were meeting either budget or forecast. If there was a gap, I will need to work with the respective country managers or commercial teams to update the forecasts timely.
