Mechanical Design Engineer
Millennium Energy Industries (MEI) is a leading turnkey solar solutions provider operating globallyfrom Chile in South America to Europe and the MENA region. Since 2002, MEI has been providing ona turnkey basis various solar heating, cooling, steam, and/or power (PV/CSP) solutions for industrial, commercial, and residential clients.- Reporting to director of engineering my main responsibilities are:• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned projects.• Provide supervision and technical direction to installation teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, and performance monitoring.• Perform overall quality control of the project (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.• Perform computer simulation of solar generation system performance or energy production to optimize efficiency.• Create electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, or connection diagrams for solar electric systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software.• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.• Issuing official project-related notices, letters and payment certificates for subcontractors and project stakeholders.• Prepare method statements, material submittals and progress report for the projects.• Prepare material requisitions and coordinate with procurement dept. for material purchasing.• Contribute in preparing the workshop/As-built drawings of the project.- Contributed in the successful implementation of many solar PV projects including:• Ahli bank Solar PV Plant.• Saraya Aqaba solar thermal plant.• Marriott & Sheraton Solar PV Plant.• Al Bashir hospital solar thermal plant.• German Jordan University solar cooling plant.
