- Assist in the direct supervision and leadership of the company’s Cost Control function and serve as an ambassador of Cost Control to the company’s operational departments- Provide leadership to the receiving department through supervision of the central warehouse- Develop cost control strategies and oversee all Cost Control accountants- Coordinate and oversee operational and internal audits in various areas, while ensuring their accuracy and timely completion- Conduct monthly inventories and produce a cost of sales for operations as part of the month-end closing process- Oversee the production, analysis and development of various month-end and periodic financial reports. - Identify inefficiencies in month-end closings, while developing and implementing solutions to the challenges found. - Analyze systems and controls to seek improved efficiencies and research alternative process to provide better controls - Serve as a resource to the executive management team by formulating innovative ideas for the betterment of the company - Review pricing/revenue structures across multiple outlets at 8 properties to ensure the company’s goals are being met

- Calculate food, beverage and gift shop cost of goods sold- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements - Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts and post month-end closing journal entries- Audit revenue, cash handling, purchasing and requisition programs- Develop and enforce cost control procedures- Create analysis reports, conducted meetings with hotel management- Audited and advised operational procedures and manage inventories- Conduct monthly inventories to ensure accuracy and efficiency- Spearheaded a Corporate Phone Billing implementation procedure to curve operational costs- Create and analyze mid-month Food and Beverage outlet P&L's to ensure revenue efficiency and return on investment- Prepare financial statements by gathering and analyzing general ledger information

- Maintained internal function by ensuring that payments are being made- Responsible for coding and processing invoices to ensure timely payment- Conducted budget management for a 1334 room, 6 food and beverage outlet hotel- Verify payments for the purposes of goods, varying from office supplies to food and beverage- Verify individual vendor accounts by reconciling vendor statements- Maintain general ledgers by posting and verifying monthly account transactions- Analyzed monthly nominal accounts to prepare month-end closing entries
