CurrentThis role is within the Business Analysis group (a team of four) in the California organization, headquartered in Glendale, CA. In this role, which was my first healthcare-industry position, I have developed many reports and interfaces between my organization and client organizations such as L.A. Care, Blue Shield, CenCAL Health, and Kaiser Permanente. The reporting side of this position entailed encounter reports as well as member reports (mostly unhoused and/or Medicaid populations), both ad-hoc and automated. I very closely support California Operations team and leadership, which consist of social workers on the field as well as care assistants. I closely collaborate with Quality Assurance and Development teams in Miami and conduct user acceptance testing. I learned a tremendous amount about the healthcare industry in general, and California market in particular, on this job. The role requires wearing many hats due to constant communication with very technical, and very non-technical, individuals. It also has significant exposure to California leadership, who are the ultimate consumers of our internal reports. I have excelled at translating Operations needs into understandable, highly technical functional requirements. I also adjusted to an organization at an exceptionally high level of growth locally, both in terms of size of business and number of employees.
