Hello! Welcome to Enjoy EY I'm Anneka, I have worked in early education for the last 20 years as a childcare professional, primary teacher, early year’s inspector and local authority adviser. I currently work as an independent early years consultant and am particularly passionate about working with schools and nurseries to improve learning environments (both physical and emotional) through room consultation and design.Alongside my consultancy work, I run a not for profit company (JEKA by hand) that supplys hand made wooden toys & furniture to schools and nurseries.As an extension of our hand-made range, we have now launched JEKA Play which is a pack away furniture range providing solutions to early education establishments and businesses that experience challenges using shared spaces. JEKA Play can also be used to start up a new pack away childcare provision, childminding service or toddler group.More importantly, the wider vision for JEKA Play is one of inspiring entrepreneurialism and business ownership, particularly for women and marganilised communities.The JEKA Play pack away system will eventually become available as a nursery/creche franchise business and will be used as a mechaism for social mobility. The core mission of all three businesses is to help the sector and those connected to it thrive.Nothing satisfies me more than witnessing the intense engagement that children experience from thoughtfully planned provision.Providing the highest quality play experiences for children is one of the biggest investments policy makers and educators can make into a young child's life.Our companies are on an exciting journey!
