Moving to the US in 2014 from El Salvador marked the beginning of an incredible journey of growth, opportunity, and success. Armed with a BS in Industrial Engineering, I brought a solid foundation in product development, quality management, and Kaizen leadership. Accomplishments included: I took part in a Kaizen event, along with a cross-functional team, to redesign a manufacturing cell. Captured output of cell prior to and after event. I proposed a new layout to increase ongoing product flow, reducing inventory, etc. Increased cell’s efficiency by 13%. I also conducted a time observation on a popular product and found operations that provided no value to the customer. I then decreased or removed some, which in total made a 68-minute reduction in time.

I would create samples, which were sent to the clients for approval and mass production. Made sure requirements were correct and made modifications, when necessary. I had to ensure costs were kept low, but still produced a high-quality product that grossed profits.Accomplishments included: Coordinating and scheduling production with all departments and vendors, to ensure client’s deadlines were met. Developed up to 8 various products at the same time. Enhanced the quality of garments, while lowering costs, due to proposing construction alterations to clients.
